Building something new
Bring a project you’re working on, even if it’s early or unfinished. Engineers and other tech people are welcome whether or not they’re starting a company.
FIRST MEETUP IN PARIS
Canada × France
A Canada–France tech
meetup in Paris.
I’d like to meet more Canadians working in tech in France, and French tech people with a connection to Canada. If that sounds like you, or you’re interested in getting to know this group, I’m putting together a first meetup in Paris.
I’m interestedThe date and venue aren’t decided yet. This is just an interest list.
About Raph
Raphaël
Titsworth-Morin
I’m Raphaël, a Canadian living in Paris. I organize Bière & Code, where I’ve already met a few French tech people with connections to Canada. I’d like to meet more of them, and more Canadians working in tech here. I’m a Senior Developer & Evangelist at Defang and created Simple Agent Manager.
01 / The idea
I’d like to bring together people involved in tech startups and entrepreneurship, along with people whose experience can help. Over time, I hope those relationships will lead to closer business and cultural ties between France and Canada.
Bring a project you’re working on, even if it’s early or unfinished. Engineers and other tech people are welcome whether or not they’re starting a company.
Industry, legal, research or policy experience can help make someone’s project come to life. Knowing the programmes and resources available in either country can be useful too.
Finding a first client in the other country, understanding how to hire someone there, or meeting a research partner: these are some of the things I’d like to see come out of these meetups.

English or French.
02 / First meetup
I’m thinking of a small, casual meetup in Paris. The date and venue aren’t decided yet. Your responses will help me work out the format.
Meet each other and talk.
A few people share a project or experience.
Show something you’re working on.
BEFORE WE MEET
No. An interest in tech and in getting to know people connected to France and Canada is enough. You don’t need to be a founder or have plans to work abroad.
Both are welcome. You don’t need to speak both.
The idea is a casual meetup. Short talks or demos are possible if people are interested.
The plan is to meet in Paris. The date and venue are still to be decided. Leaving your email puts you on the interest list; it doesn’t reserve a place.
03 / I’m interested
Leave your email for updates. The other questions are optional and will help me plan the meetup.
